Kate, a Millport resident, teaches 2 yoga classes a week at the Age Concern Hall at the back of the Garrison grounds. £10 a class or buy 6 for £9 each (£54).

The classes are open to all people, all levels and all abilities. You will breathe better, become fitter, stronger and more flexible. Everyone can do yoga: male, female, young, old, fit, unfit, healthy, unhealthy, experienced, inexperienced and you are all very welcome to our classes. Spare mats are available.

The classes are 1.5 hours long and include asana (physical postures), some pranayama (breath work) and a yoga nidra (relaxation) at the end. The style is hatha yoga with some yin and vinyasa flows. Kate likes to bring some of the yoga philosophy to the class as well as her in-depth knowledge of human anatomy.
