Welcome to the next generation of self-catering accommodation in Scotland.

We think of our one-of-a-kind Cabin Concept as a crossroad where quirky interior design meets eco-consciousness, all in a stunning island setting.

Each cabin comes with its very own theme and story. You can expect clever interior design, smart-home tech, and a one-of-a-kind artist’s wall mural. Enjoy cosy Netflix nights or relax in our wood-fired hot tubs.

Our location on College Street is ideally located for a secluded island retreat, yet only a short stroll from the seafront, local bars, restaurants, and experiences – a perfect balance.

Visit jacksaltstays.co.uk for cabin availability & bookings.

A note from Daniel & Adam:

“We share a passion for adventure, unique experiences, and the environment. We believe in challenging the norm; in doing things a bit differently.

We’re not in the glamping game. Glamping is old news. We’re in the game of creating unique and unforgettable travel experiences.

We think of our unique Cabin concept as being at a crossroads where quirky interior design and smart-home tech meets eco-consciousness in a stunning island setting.”

Where are you located?

You’ll find us on College Street, a short stroll from Millport town and seafront.

Are your cabins and site accessible?

Inclusivity & Accessibility is one of our Founding Values at Jack’s.

We’ve worked closely with the architects, builders and accessibility campaigners to ensure our site and cabins meet the accessibility standards of Building Regulations.

This includes plenty space to maneuver around inside each cabin, a designated disabled parking space, and a solid, low-gradient paving surface from the pavement and car park to the first cabin, which also has a flat entry threshold.

We’re in the process of writing up our ‘Jack’s Alt-Stays Accessibility Guide’, which we’ll have available on this website before we launch in the Autumn.

Do you welcome dogs?

Absolutely. We love dogs! We have a labrador (Rudi, 8) and a miniature dachshund (Honey, 1) ourselves.

All cabins are pet-friendly.

Do the cabins have hot tubs?

Yes! Three of our five cabins have a wood-fired hot tub.

We say ‘wood-fired’… We actually use coffee logs, which are produced from 100% waste coffee grounds from cafes and restaurants.

How are the cabins eco?

Creating an environmentally sustainable business has been our goal since day 1. It’s in our Founding Values.

The Cabins have been built locally from sustainable materials, and are powered by 100% renewable energy.

We also have 5 trees planted for every booking made, through our partnership with Ecologi.

Who are the cabins for?

Our cabins are perfect for couples and small family groups, seeking a unique and relaxing island escape.

Unfortunately, we don’t accept large group bookings such as stag dos, or hen dos.
