A note from Daniel & Adam:
“We share a passion for adventure, unique experiences, and the environment. We believe in challenging the norm; in doing things a bit differently.
We’re not in the glamping game. Glamping is old news. We’re in the game of creating unique and unforgettable travel experiences.
We think of our unique Cabin concept as being at a crossroads where quirky interior design and smart-home tech meets eco-consciousness in a stunning island setting.”
Where will you be located?
You’ll find us on College Street, a short stroll from Millport town and seafront.
When are you opening?
We’re working towards launching our business in Summer 2022. Our prototype cabin’s build is now complete, the next four are on their way, and we’re now preparing the site!
Are your cabins accessible?
Yes! ‘Inclusivity & Accessibility’ is one of our Founding Values at Jack’s.
Our site and cabins meet the accessibility standards of Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004, as standard.
Site accessibility measures we’ll have in place are a lowered kerb onto the road, a designated disabled parking spot, a solid, level paving surface from both the pavement and parking area directly to the first position Cabin’s entrance.
This cabin will also have extra accessibility measures in place, such as the closest proximity to the car park, a flat entry threshold, additional space to manoeuvre inside, and bathroom railings.
We’re in the process of writing up our ‘Jack’s Alt-Stays Accessibility Guide’, which we’ll have available on our website and PDF download before we launch in the summer.
In the meantime, feel free to get in touch any time if you have any questions about accessibility at Jack’s.
Will you welcome dogs?
Absolutely. We love dogs! We have a labrador (Rudi, 8) and a miniature dachshund (Honey, 1) ourselves.
Some of our cabins will be dog-friendly and some will be pet-free, to suit everybody.
Will the cabins have hot tubs?
Yes! Some cabins will have a wood-fired hot tub, and there will be options without. The wood we use is locally and sustainably sourced, and responsibly used. We support tree planting and carbon capture projects to help offset environmental impact. We’re currently exploring coffee logs as a waste-product alternative fuel to logs.
How are the cabins eco?
Creating an environmentally sustainable business has been our goal since day 1. It’s in our Founding Values. The Eco-Cabins are being built locally in North Ayrshire, using sustainable materials and are powered by 100% renewable energy. We’ll also have 10 trees planted for every booking made, through our partnership with Ecologi.
Who are the cabins for?
Our cabins are perfect for couples and small family groups, seeking a unique and relaxing island escape.
Unfortunately, we don’t accept large group bookings such as stag dos, or hen dos.
How much will it cost to stay?
Our prices will typically range between £100 and £200 /night, depending on the cabin, season, and day of the week. There will be a 2-night minimum stay.
