What happens when five strangers meet on a beautiful Scottish island and become fast friends? Why, they open a gin distillery…of course! Launched in September 2020, Isle of Cumbrae Distillers is distinctively positioned as being one of the few all-female distilling teams in Scotland, and the only international women’s team, drawing representation from the UK, Canada and the USA. Tours and tastings launch in June 2021, focusing on the important role women played in the history of gin, as well as the colourful smuggling history of the Clyde coast.
NOSTALGIN
Isle of Cumbrae Distillers signature gin, Nostalgin, celebrates the strong emotional connection and nostalgia Millport holds in so many people’s hearts, especially those who spent their childhood summers there in the 50’s and 60’s. The main botanicals of lavender, bramble and orange capture the feeling of relaxation and calm people experience on the 8-minute ferry ride to the island.

CROC ROCK GIN
Croc Rock gin was launched in April 2021 and celebrates Crocodile Rock, one of the most recognized symbols of the island, which has been a joy for children of all ages for over 100 years. Our key botanicals of cacao, stem ginger and orange symbolize the love we all have for the Croc, while at the same time recognizing the potential danger of his bite.
