Holiday Rental Apartments in Millport… on the Island of Great Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde… Scotland’s most accessible island, just a 10min ferry trip from the mainland Millport Holiday Apartments is a community business run for the benefit of the Island community. The eight holiday apartments, all named after surrounding islands, are situated at the Quayhead beside the pier and harbour and in nearby Cardiff Street. Behind the Quayhead flats is a paved courtyard overlooking a small sandy beach and the pier from which the Waverley paddle steamer leaves.
All the flats have been recently renovated and are offered on a weekly, short let and weekend basis. We have seven one bedroom flats that sleep four and one two bedroom flat sleeping six. Prices include bed linen and electricity costs. The flats are perfectly placed for all amenities. A few minutes walk will take you to the Bank of Scotland, the Post Office, shops, tearooms, restaurants, bars, beaches, bowling greens, the Garrison House (library, café, medical centre, council office), play parks and amusements. Within a mile are an 18 hole golf course with outstanding views of the Firth of Clyde, the Marine Biological Station’s Aquarium and the Robertson Museum. You can walk, run or cycle around the island, it’s just a 10 mile trip and there are many marked footpaths.
